Publisher review:
ActiveXperts Network Monitor is the leading solution for monitoring all aspects of your LAN and WAN servers, workstations and devices. For years, System Administrators, Network Operators and Helpdesk employees have relied upon the power and flexibility and reliability of this Network Monitor tool.
The product runs as a service on the Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 platform, and supports Windows, UNIX, LINUX and Novell platforms.
When problems are detected, you're immediately notified by network message, e-mail, pager, or SMS message (support for TAPI, Unicode, TAP, UCP and FBus). When a failure is detected, the network monitor tool tries to correct the problem.
Use XML and XSL based Views to view results from any location in the world, or use the 32 bit Windows Manager application. Assign privileges to groups of users, to avoid access to parts of the monitoring results they are not allowed to access.

ActiveXperts Network Monitor is delivered with powerful, pre-defined checks, including checks for: AD, ADSI, CPU Monitoring, Directory sizes, Disk Healthy check, DNS, Disk Drive, Disk Space, DNS, Event Log (with content checking), MS Exchange, File Existence (with content checking), FTP site, HTTP(s) (with content checking), ICMP/Ping, IMAP4, MS SQL Database, Novell NDS, NTDS (NT4 compatible DS), NTP, ODBC Database, Oracle Databases (SQLNet), POP3 Mail server, Printer, Process, Service, SMTP Mail server, SNMP, TCP port (with handshaking), Temperature (requires a Sensatronics Temptrax thermometer), UDP, UNIX Shell Script (RSH), Users & groups, VBScript (custom scripts) and WMI.
Write custom scripts using VBScript or RSH.
ActiveXperts Network Monitor has advanced ODBC and ADO/SQL logging and reporting capabilities. The XML based Reports can be customized easily by editing the XSL stylesheet templates.
